Three friends reconnected after 40 years to finish a 17,000-mile bike journey they started in the 1980s from Punta Arenas in Chile to Anchorage in Alaska. Sophie Trafford, Rona Hulbert, and Craig Swan completed the missing link in a challenging mountain bike trek. The ride, which took 26 days, raised funds for a cancer center and epilepsy research, with Sophie drawing inspiration from her son who died from epilepsy. The trio tackled the remote Patagonia terrain with new roads having been built since their original journey.
