Erik Menendez denied parole three decades after killing his parents

Erik Menendez, one of the notorious Menendez brothers, was denied parole after the 1989 murders of their parents. Erik, in prison in San Diego, faced a parole hearing which rejected his bid for freedom. The parole board cited concerns over his behaviour in prison, past criminal activity, and the brutal nature of the killings, resulting in his parole denial. The case may now shift to Governor Gavin Newsom for consideration of clemency, amidst ongoing legal battles and emotional testimonies from both sides.
