M&S website back online, allowing users to browse

Marks & Spencer's website is now back online after being inaccessible for several hours following a cyber-attack that affected customer data security. The retailer is estimating the attack to impact profits by around £300m this year, with ongoing online service disruptions expected until July. While personal customer data, including contact details, was stolen, M&S assured that payment details and account passwords were not compromised. Police are investigating the cyber-attack, believed to be linked to the group Scattered Spider.
