Funding shortage forces food bank to make changes

Didcot Emergency Foodbank faces funding shortage, leading to changes in its services due to a reduction in donations. The food bank, founded in 2009 by volunteers at Didcot Baptist Church, is now adjusting its support model from twice a week for six weeks to once a week for six weeks, followed by a longer six-month gap. With reserves of around £10,000 and income short of the required amount, the food bank emphasizes the need for increased donations to continue helping the estimated 6,000 clients this year.
