Freddie Mercury celebrated on Royal Mint collectable
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Freddie Mercury's first solo album and his iconic Live Aid performance, The Royal Mint has released a new collectible coin in honor of the legendary singer. The coin, part of The Royal Mint's Music Legends series, features Mercury mid-performance, with his autograph and a musical stave representing his four-octave vocal range. Freddie's sister, Kashmira Bulsara, struck the first coin at The Royal Mint, emphasizing his passion and musical legacy. In a charitable gesture, a special gold proof coin will be donated to the Mercury Phoenix Trust, the charity established in his memory.
