The town of La Bañeza, Spain, ravaged by wildfires, won €468m in the Christmas lottery, providing hope after devastation. The winning tickets, mainly purchased in León province, were worth €400,000 each, with a single ticket costing €20. La Bañeza, with a population of around 11,000, shared the jackpot, including members of a local football club, after wildfires burned 8,000 hectares of land in the area.
