American pilot Ethan Guo, detained in Antarctica for an unauthorized landing, has been released after paying a $30,000 donation and a ban from Chilean territory for three years. Guo, a young influencer, was on a solo trip to all continents for cancer research fundraising when he landed on King George Island off Antarctica. Despite the legal dispute, Guo, who was aiming to be the youngest to fly solo to all continents and raise $1 million for St Jude Children's Research Hospital, plans to continue his mission once permitted to leave the Antarctic base.
