Secondary schools in Beverwijk and Heemskerk, Netherlands, were closed for a day due to escalating violence involving youth groups and abuse videos circulating online. The decision to shut down five schools aims to restore peace after incidents of attacks and fake explosion videos emerged. Beverwijk Mayor Martijn Smit issued a three-day emergency order to prevent gatherings and potential gun use, reassuring parents by opting for a day of calm before reopening schools on Monday.
