Peru president issues amnesty for hundreds accused of atrocities

Peru president issues controversial amnesty law for those accused of atrocities during armed conflict. The law will benefit hundreds of armed forces members and police accused of crimes between 1980-2000. Despite criticism from human rights groups, President Boluarte signed the law which may impact over 600 trials and 156 convictions.
