Madagascar's President Andry Rajoelina has asked for one year to address the country's challenges or he will resign, during a meeting with government supporters. Protests sparked by water and electricity shortages have expanded into wider public discontent. Despite rejection by the protest group Gen Z Mada, who demand his resignation, Rajoelina aims to solve issues through dialogue rather than demonstrations.
