Lost Bach organ pieces, the Chaconne in D minor BWV 1178 and Chaconne in G minor BWV 1179, were performed for the first time in 320 years in Germany. Discovered by researcher Peter Wollny in 1992, these previously unknown works by Johann Sebastian Bach were hailed as a significant find in the world of music. Played at the St Thomas Church in Leipzig, where Bach is buried, Dutch organist Ton Koopman expressed pride in sharing these high-quality pieces, now confirmed as part of Bach's official catalogue.
