Flash floods kill nearly 200 in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir

Flash floods in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir have claimed nearly 200 lives, with heavy monsoon rains causing devastating floods and landslides. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded the highest number of deaths, with at least 180 people losing their lives. The region is facing ongoing heavy rainfall, prompting authorities to declare disaster zones and issue alerts for further heavy rains until August 21st. A rescue helicopter also crashed during operations, killing all five crew members.
