Dozens of DR Congo mourners killed in attack linked to jihadist group

Over 50 mourners were killed by Islamic State-linked rebels in an attack during a funeral in eastern DR Congo, with victims hacked with machetes in North Kivu province. The Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), responsible for the assault, have been increasing attacks, spreading fear of a growing insurgency. The ADF, previously in Uganda, is now based in DR Congo and conducts attacks in both countries, with recent casualties mounting to over 100 people according to the Islamic State's Central African Province.
