Denmark plans to enhance defense in Greenland with new ships, jets, and a headquarters as part of a $4.2bn boost in spending. This initiative includes purchasing 16 more F-35 fighter jets and establishing a new Arctic command in Nuuk. The move aims to strengthen security in the Arctic and North Atlantic regions amid concerns over US President Trump's interest in acquiring Greenland for national and economic security reasons.
