China to loosen chip export ban to Europe after Netherlands row
China announces it will relax chip export ban to Europe following a dispute over chips made in the Netherlands. The decision comes after tensions rose due to Chinese-owned Nexperia chips not being re-exported to Europe. Concerns were raised by carmakers over potential production disruptions. Dutch-controlled Nexperia informed customers it would halt sending chips back to China for processing. The move follows a meeting between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping, with the White House expected to release a new trade agreement fact sheet soon.
