UK ban on Palestine Action a 'disturbing' misuse of legislation, says UN rights chief

The UN human rights chief criticizes the UK ban on Palestine Action, calling it a misuse of counter-terrorism legislation. The ban, under the Terrorism Act 2000, makes support for the group a criminal offense carrying a penalty of up to 14 years in prison. More than 170 people have been arrested, with the ban currently being challenged in the High Court.
