Trump expands US travel ban to five more countries
President Donald Trump has extended the US travel ban to five more countries and individuals traveling with Palestinian Authority documents, citing security concerns. The new restrictions take effect on 1 January and fully ban entry for nationals of Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan, Syria, and Palestinian Authority passport holders. Laos and Sierra Leone are now included in the full ban list, and partial restrictions have been placed on 15 other countries like Nigeria, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe.
