Three people charged in missing ashes funeral fraud probe

Three individuals have been charged in connection with missing ashes at A Milne Funeral Directors in Glasgow and Dumbarton. Police launched an investigation into alleged fraud and mishandling of cremated remains, resulting in over 70 reports from affected families. The firm was expelled by the National Association of Funeral Directors, and more arrests have been made as part of Operation Koine in April last year. This ongoing probe includes the recovery of containers with ashes and specialist officers from the Financial Investigations Unit.
