The 95-year-old POW who wants to return to North Korea to die
A 95-year-old former North Korean prisoner of war, Ahn Hak-sop, attempted to return to North Korea for burial, after spending most of his life in South Korea against his will. He was turned away at the border due to lack of proper arrangements. Despite being captured by the South Koreans when he joined the North Korean People's Army, Mr. Ahn has maintained his communist sympathies and belief in North Korea's ideology, longing for Korean reunification without "imperialist America" influence.
