Twitch added to Australia's teen social media ban alongside platforms like Facebook and Instagram. The ban aims to protect under-16s from harmful content on social media. Starting December 10, Australians under 16 will not be able to open new Twitch accounts and existing accounts will be deactivated from January 9, as stated by eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman Grant.
