Reeves suggests benefit limits on larger families to be lifted

Rachel Reeves suggests lifting benefit limits on larger families in the upcoming Budget to stop penalizing children for family size. This move could reverse the two-child limit on working-age benefits imposed in 2017. Reeves aims to reduce child poverty by ensuring financial support is not linked to family size, potentially benefitting over 600,000 children and costing £3.6bn annually.
