In a recent attack in central Nigeria, armed men abducted an unknown number of pupils from St Mary's School in Papiri, Niger state, marking the second school kidnapping in less than a week. This incident adds to the wave of attacks on Nigerian schools, with authorities previously ordering temporary closures due to security threats. In nearby Kebbi state, 25 schoolgirls were also kidnapped from a boarding school, reflecting the escalating security challenges faced by Nigeria.
