Man shot dead by police after two-car crash

A man carrying a handgun was shot and killed by police in Thetford following a two-car crash, Norfolk Police confirmed. The suspect, believed to be the driver of one of the vehicles involved, left the scene holding the weapon, leading to armed police responding to the scene and fatally shooting him. Despite emergency service efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The A11 road in Thetford remained closed in both directions following the incident.
