Madrid makes debut as Imola dropped from 2026

The new Madrid Grand Prix set for 11-13 September will conclude an uninterrupted European leg of the Formula 1 season in 2023. Madrid replaces the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix at Imola, maintaining a 24-race schedule. Changes aim to enhance transport efficiency and reduce carbon emissions, including moving the Canadian Grand Prix to May 22-24 after the Miami race on May 1-3. This rescheduling creates logistical advantages for F1 with "significant freight efficiencies" between races.
