Is Test cricket financially sustainable?

Former ICC chairman Greg Barclay discussed the creation of the World Test Championship (WTC) to modernize Test cricket, with each two-year cycle consisting of six series. The WTC format, despite criticism, has garnered more interest and engagement in Test cricket. However, challenges exist around sporting integrity and equitable fixtures, as some countries like India and Pakistan do not play each other in the WTC. Additionally, countries like Zimbabwe, Ireland, and Afghanistan are not part of the WTC, with Ireland considering joining if there is increased ICC funding.
