Heitinga leaves Liverpool to become Ajax head coach

Former Liverpool assistant boss John Heitinga returns to Ajax as head coach, signing a two-year contract. The 41-year-old, a former defender at Ajax, is supported by assistant Marcel Keizer. Heitinga takes over from Francesco Farioli, who left after Ajax's end-of-season Eredivisie collapse.
