The Pipistrel Velis Electro plane, the first electric flight to land at Gatwick Airport, concluded a 17-day tour around France with a stop at the airport. This two-seater electric aircraft is approved for commercial flights, pilot training, and various other operations. Gatwick CEO Mark Johnston noted that not only was this the airport's first electric flight, but it may well be the smallest one to land there.
