Essex couple pioneers innovative data centre in shed to heat home, reducing bills to £40 a month. The HeatHub system uses heat generated by over 500 computers to warm the house, alongside solar panels and a battery. Developed by Thermify as part of the UK Power Networks' SHIELD project, this eco-friendly solution aims to provide clean energy for low-income households transitioning to net zero, potentially revolutionizing how data centres can be integrated into homes.
