Chinese paraglider survives accidental 8,000m-high flight
Chinese paraglider Peng Yujiang survived an accidental 8,500m-high flight over north-west China after being pulled into a cloud formation by a rare updraft known as "cloud suck." Video footage of the incident, showing Peng covered in ice crystals, went viral on social media. Despite facing temperatures of -40C and thin oxygen, Peng managed to navigate the harrowing experience, recounting the terror of being lifted higher and higher until he was inside the cloud. Authorities are investigating the incident, and Peng has been suspended for six months due to the unauthorized flight.
