British grandmother flies home after 12 years on Indonesian death row
British grandmother Lindsay Sandiford, who spent 12 years on death row in Indonesia for drug trafficking, finally flew home after repatriation efforts. Along with Shahab Shahabadi, both were repatriated on humanitarian grounds due to health issues. Indonesia, with strict drug laws, has released notable detainees recently, including Sandiford, who was found with cocaine worth £1.6m in 2012.
