GB Energy plan to focus on historical oil and gas areas

Great British Energy (GBE) plans to invest in clean energy projects, focusing on regions traditionally reliant on oil and gas to create at least 10,000 jobs in the next five years. The publicly-owned body aims to accelerate the shift to green energy with significant government funding. Concerns arise over job creation in line with the ones being lost in the fossil fuel industry, as studies indicate up to 1,000 jobs monthly are diminishing in oil and gas sectors.
