The global environmental award hit by accusations of greenwashing

Dr Bronner's, a US soap company, has left the B Corp accreditation scheme, accusing it of "enabling greenwashing" by allowing large corporations to join too easily. The scheme, which recognizes companies with high social and environmental standards, faced criticism for certifying Nespresso, owned by Nestlé, despite past controversies. B Corp, with over 9,600 members, plans to introduce stricter standards by 2026 to address these concerns and enhance credibility, aiming to raise the bar for businesses seeking accreditation.
