Should more be done to tackle 'ghost jobs', vacancies that don't exist?

"Ghost jobs" are a growing issue globally, with studies showing a significant percentage of advertised vacancies don't actually exist. In the US, an effort led by tech worker Eric Thompson aims to introduce legislation, such as The Truth in Job Advertising & Accountability Act, to combat this problem. Ontario, Canada, is already taking steps to address ghosting and fake job ads, but other regions like the UK and US lack such regulations, leaving job seekers frustrated and demoralized by the lack of response from employers.
