Rough sleeper centre to offer safe spaces to women

Light Project Peterborough plans to provide safe weekly women-only sessions at its rough sleeper center, The Garden House, offering a comfortable environment for vulnerable women in Peterborough. The charity aims to support women fleeing abuse, experiencing trauma, or anxiety, ensuring they feel secure while accessing services like healthcare, housing, and showers. Amid a rise in female visitors seeking help, the organization has recruited new project workers to manage increasing demand and is gearing up for the Great Eastern Run as a charity partner.
