Price of housing and groceries cause most concern

Residents in Jersey are most concerned about the high prices of housing and groceries, according to a report by The Policy Centre Jersey. The report highlighted that housing costs were a significant worry for younger age groups, and groceries in Jersey were 14% more expensive than in the UK. With real earnings not increasing since the start of the century, measures such as increasing housing supply and enabling low-cost retail entry into the market are being considered to address the island's high cost of living.
