Manchester Pride goes bust with thousands owed in unpaid fees

Manchester Pride faces financial difficulties, going bankrupt and leaving unpaid fees to performers and businesses, throwing the future of the event into uncertainty. Rising costs, declining ticket sales, and financial challenges led to this situation, impacting artists, contractors, and partners. Despite hopes to continue, the organization's financial strain forced it into voluntary liquidation, with concerns raised by Equity and the Charity Commission. Manchester City Council aims to support a new chapter for the event in 2026 after the liquidation.
