Homelessness deaths almost double in a year

The number of homelessness deaths in Norfolk almost doubled in a year, with nine recorded in 2024, compared to five in 2023. Nationally, there were 1,611 deaths, including 11 children, representing a 9% increase. Campaigners are calling on the government to take action to address the root causes of homelessness and prevent more tragic deaths on the streets.
