Gatwick baggage screeners to strike on bank holiday
Baggage screeners at Gatwick Airport, employed by ICTS, will strike during a pay dispute at the end of August, including over the bank holiday weekend, as announced by the Unite union. The union claims these workers are among the lowest paid at the airport, earning slightly above minimum wage. Flights out of Gatwick may be affected by the strikes, which are planned for 22-26 August and 29 August-2 September, with potential escalation if the issue remains unresolved. ICTS has yet to comment on the matter.
