Free welcome cafe opens to help community connect

Highworth, Wiltshire, launches a free Warm and Welcome Wednesday Cafe to tackle loneliness and encourage community connections. Run by volunteers from the Highworth Community Larder, the cafe offers a free drink and cake on the third Wednesday of each month from 09:30 - 11:00 BST at the Council Rooms on Gilberts Lane. In addition to providing company, the cafe also offers advice on financial issues, with support from Highworth Town Council, which provides the space for free.
