Brits are now spending more time on mobile phones than watching TV for the first time, especially younger people who use phones for about five hours a day. Research by the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising found that mobile devices are consistently used throughout the day, while TV viewing is more common in the evening. The shift highlights how phones have become a central tool for content consumption and connectivity, with adults spending an average of three hours and 21 minutes daily on their mobiles compared to three hours and 16 minutes watching TV.
