Brewdog to close 10 pubs across UK, some 'within days'

Scottish craft beer giant Brewdog is closing 10 UK pubs, including the flagship Aberdeen location, due to industry challenges like rising costs and economic pressures. Some locations, like Aberdeen Gallowgate and Dundee, will shut "within days." Despite the closures, Brewdog plans a 14-day consultation for at-risk staff and aims to redeploy them, a move criticized by the Unite trade union, who called the abrupt closures "morally repugnant." Founded in 2007 by James Watt and Martin Dickie, Brewdog operates 71 UK bars, 17 of which are in Scotland, along with global presence in countries like the USA and Australia.
