Watch: Mud volcano erupts in southern Taiwan

A mud volcano erupted in Taiwan, with locals seen throwing flaming rags into it to ignite methane gas. Geologist Dr. Mark Tingay described the Wandan mud volcano as an unusual geological phenomenon. This particular mud volcano usually erupts in southern Taiwan, but new eruption sites have been observed kilometers away. It has erupted 11 times in the past three years.
