Warsaw Ghetto survivor who resisted the Nazis dies

Warsaw Ghetto survivor and Nazi resistance fighter, Michael Smuss, has passed away at 99 in Israel. Smuss joined the ghetto uprising and survived imprisonment in concentration camps during WWII. After the war, he became an artist and Holocaust educator, receiving tributes from the German and Polish embassies for his bravery and contributions. The last surviving member of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, Smuss showcased resilience and heroism in the face of Nazi atrocities, leaving a lasting legacy in Holocaust education and remembrance efforts.
