Sara Jane Moore, the woman who attempted to assassinate US President Gerald Ford in 1975, has passed away at the age of 95. Moore's failed attack on Ford took place outside a San Francisco hotel during a public event, but she was subdued after firing a shot. The incident occurred just days after Ford was targeted in another murder plot connected to Charles Manson's associates. Moore, who served 32 years in prison before being released on parole, died shortly before the 50th anniversary of her attempt on Ford's life.
