Security committee launches inquiry into Afghan data leak

The breach, which occurred due to an inadvertent email of resettlement applications, prompted the ISC to demand all related intelligence documents for review. The leak was discovered in August 2023, leading to the implementation of a gagging order to protect those impacted, including nearly 19,000 Afghans who collaborated with British forces.
