Qatar to build air force facility in Idaho, US says

The US has agreed to allow Qatar to build an air force facility in Idaho where Qatari pilots will be trained to fly F-15 fighter jets. The facility will be established at Mountain Home Airbase in Idaho, announced US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth during a meeting with Qatari counterpart Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani. Hegseth praised Qatar for its role in mediating ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas, highlighting the strong partnership between the two countries.
