Bella Culley, a British teenager on trial for drug smuggling in Georgia, had her sentence reduced to two years following a plea bargain that involved her family paying £137,000. Culley, who is heavily pregnant, was stopped at Tbilisi International Airport with drugs in her luggage in May. Despite her claims of being tortured to carry the drugs, a plea deal was reached, with over 90% of drug-related crimes in Georgia being resolved this way. Culley faces the possibility of giving birth in prison and is due to appear in court again soon.
