Ousted Madagascan president stripped of citizenship

Former Madagascan President Andry Rajoelina, ousted in a recent coup, has been stripped of his citizenship by the new regime led by Prime Minister Herintsalama Rajaonarivelo. This move comes after Rajoelina, who obtained French citizenship 10 years ago, faced disqualification calls for the 2023 presidential election. He left Madagascar following protests over governance issues, leading to a military takeover.
