Nigerian Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology Uche Nnaji resigns after allegations of forging academic credentials surface. The accusations emerged following a newspaper investigation claiming Nnaji submitted falsified certificates during his ministerial appointment in 2023. Denying the forgery claims, Nnaji states that he legitimately graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. This resignation marks a rare event as ministerial suspensions or removals are uncommon in Nigeria, with Nnaji being the second to leave office since President Tinubu took power.
