Italian authorities are investigating claims that tourists paid to participate in "sniper safaris" in Bosnia during the 1990s war, shooting at civilians in Sarajevo. Journalist Ezio Gavazzeni filed the complaint in Milan, revealing details of wealthy individuals paying to kill defenseless civilians during the conflict. The accusations are now being examined by Italian counter terrorism prosecutor Alessandro Gobbis following evidence of these alleged atrocities, which were brought to light in a recent documentary film. The investigation aims to shed light on the reported "safaris" where tourists flew from Italy to Bosnia to shoot at civilians during the brutal siege of Sarajevo.
